THE COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY ASSOCIATION
AFFILIATION/ACCREDITATION
Affiliation to the Complementary Therapy Association Requires that Therapists, Practitioners, Healers and Training establishments Maintain the Highest Professional Standards.
Affiliation to the Complementary Therapy Association is limited to Therapists, Practitioners and Healers who have successfully completed an accredited training course in Complementary Therapies.
Accreditation of courses to the Complementary Therapy Association is limited to Schools, Colleges and Centres that teach Complementary Therapies and Healing.
Each Affiliate shall agree to abide by the rules of the C.T.A by signing the declaration on the application form and enclosing payment of the subscription fee to the Association.
The Affiliation and Accreditation Process.
All Therapist's, Practitioners and Healers will be required to send copies of their certificates.
Once approved this will entitle them to use the letters C.T.A. after their name. Therapists and Practitioners will also be entered onto: The European Register of Complementary Practitioners
All Schools and Colleges are required to submit their course syllabus in confidence. After assessment this will lead to Full Accreditation status. This will enable them to use the letters C.T.A. Accredited after their courses. Schools and Colleges will also be entitled to be entered onto: The European Register of Complementary Practitioners
Affiliation of the C.T.A. is deemed to commence on the date shown on the receipt and is due for renewal on the same date the following year. Should an Affiliates subscription lapse for two months after the due date, Affiliation will cease. The Affiliation fee for Therapist's, Practitioners and Healers is £15.00 for the first year and £5.00 per year thereafter, commencing on date of registration. The Accreditation fee for Schools, and Colleges is £20.00 for the first course. Subsequent Courses £10.00. These fees are for five years commencing on date of registration. Thereafter all courses would be reassesed. If acceptable there will be no further charge.
Should an Accredited Schools or College subscription lapse for two months after the due date, Accreditation will cease.

The public can be therefore be assured that the Practitioners, Therapists and Healers on the register Are Insured and have accepted the Complementary Therapy Associations Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct. This register exists to protect the public from Practitioners, Therapists and Healers who are not competent to practice to the agreed standards. The register will also give you credibility to the profession and through being on the register, will give other health professions the confidence to refer patients/clients.
