THE COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY ASSOCIATION
(UK AND EUROPE)

Whenever you see a Complementary Practitioner/ Therapist, for example an Aromatherapist. You will need to feel confident that the person treating you meets the Highest Professional Standards. You also need to know that someone will take action if things go wrong.

We are the Complementary Therapy Association and we Maintain Standards and keep a register of Practitioners/ Therapists who meet the agreed national standards for their Training, Professional Skills, Behaviour and Health. We expect all Practitioners/ Therapists to have your health and well-being at heart of all they do for you.

Regulation and registration of Practitioners/ Therapists in the UK is voluntary self-regulation. This means that a Practitioner/ Therapist can still practice and not have to be C.T.A. Registered.

However as the principal reason for instating voluntary regulation for Practitioners/Therapists was to protect the public it is important that you use a C.H.A. Registered Practitioner/ Therapist.

All Practitioners/ Therapists on the C.H.A. Practitioners Register will abide by our Code of Professional Conduct & Ethics, are answerable to our Complaints and Disciplinary procedures, keep up-to-date with their training and knowledge of the therapy and have insurance to practice.
You can use the on-line register to find an C.H.A. Registered Practitioner/ Therapist in your area. Alternatively, we can conduct a search for you.
